I am also trained in EMDR, children and adolescents therapies as well as addictions. I prioritize building a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship.

Making that first step can seem so daunting and virtually impossible.
That is why I offer a 20 minute free consultation for you to see if you feel that I am the right therapist for you.
If you then want to proceed, on our first full session I will go through your contract which will explain about myself and about confidentiality and how of absolute upmost importance this is.
It is so important that within your sessions you feel in a safe and
non-judgemental environment.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors.
My price is £55 for individuals and
£65 for couples/family therapy.
The 60 minute appointment will consist of a 50 minute therapy session.
Sessions are primarily face to face or if needed zoom and telephone sessions can be arranged.
Wellbeing packages will also be offered very soon.
A non directive approach, this approach helps the client to be the expert in their own life which is of up-most importance. The client will be encouraged to explore and understand themselves and their current issues. We as human beings have an innate tendency to grow and fulfil our potential. Person centred therapy can help with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, addiction, relationship issues plus many more.
In couples therapy we will work together with you and your partner, to try and address any issues you have that are having an impact on your relationship.
We will try to improve communication, resolve recurring conflicts, feelings of disconnection, whatever the issue may be with the aim of strengthening your relationship.
Family therapy gives families the chance to express and explore their feelings. Working alongside a therapist families can discuss difficulties and differences they have within their relationships, with the aim of improving communication and so finding a way forward together.
Not one person within the family is the issue, we look at the family as a whole and and so every family member is considered.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming issues in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. Learn practical tools to manage anxiety symptoms plus other problems that you may be dealing with. CBT has really proven to be helpful in helping clients with OCD, PTSD, social phobias, plus many more.
Psychodynamic therapy is a therapeutic approach that works on the idea that each individual's unconscious thoughts and perceptions are developed throughout their childhood.
These unconscious thoughts and perceptions affect their current behaviours and thoughts,
therefore the aim is to bring the unconscious mind into consciousness.
This means helping you to recognise, experience and understand your true deep rooted feelings, in order to help you resolve them.
Psychodynamic therapy can help with depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, eating disorders, addiction plus many more.
Narrative therapy aims to separate the person from their problem, this allows the individual to externalise their issue rather than internalise.
Therefore it relies on the individuals own skills, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that will help them in reducing the current problems that they are currently experiencing.
Narrative therapy can help with anxiety, ADHD, attachment issues, depression, grief, eating disorders as well as PTSD , but can also be helpful with many more issues.
Gestalt therapy focuses more on the present rather than past experiences and so focuses on the here and now and how that can be explored to help you.
It looks at how your past affects you and influences how you're feeling in this moment, rather than how you felt in the past.
Gestalt therapy is used in helping with anxiety, depression, self esteem issues , relationship issues, PTSD and addiction.
This sort of therapy can be useful being used to help with many more issues.
Mindfulness is a technique you can learn which involves noticing what's happening in the present moment, without judgement, you may take notice of your mind, body and surroundings.
Mindfulness aims to help you be more self aware, feel calmer and less stressed, feel more able to choose how to respond to your thoughts and feelings, to cope with difficult or unhelpful thoughts and to be kinder to yourself.
Mindfulness is a great technique which can help with so many mental health issues.
EMDR involves using side to side eye movements combined with talking therapy.
EMDR helps you process the negative images, emotions, beliefs and body sensations associated with traumatic memories that seem to be stuck. These can then contribute to a range of mental health problems, EMDR helps you see things from a different perspective.
EMDR is mostly used in helping PTSD but is also used in helping anxiety disorders.
